What Makes Up the Cost of a Funeral?

Funeral costs generally fall into two main categories:

Funeral Director’s Costs

These cover the professional services and facilities provided by us in arranging and carrying out the funeral. This may include:

• Professional guidance and coordination of the funeral arrangements

• Use of the hearse and attendance at the funeral service

• Liaison with medical professionals, clergy, cemeteries and crematoria

• Care and preparation of the deceased

• Reposing arrangements at our funeral home or another agreed location

• Assistance with coffin selection, funeral notices, music and service details

• Provision of funeral vehicles and condolence books

• Use of our funeral home and facilities, where required

Third-Party Costs

Third-party costs are fees charged by others and paid by us on your behalf as part of the funeral arrangements. These may include:

• Cremation or burial fees

• Grave opening or interment charges

• Church or celebrant fees

• Newspaper or online funeral notices

• Flowers and other agreed services

All third-party costs are discussed with you in advance, and no charges are incurred without your approval.

Simple Cremation – €4,000

• Simple cremation coffin

• Private viewing or wake at our funeral home

• Cremation fee included

• Celebration of life ceremony at the crematorium

Traditional / Religious Funeral with Cremation – €4,750

• Simple cremation coffin

• Public or private wake or repose at our funeral home

• Religious ceremony with music

• Cremation fee and cremation ceremony included

Traditional / Religious Funeral with Burial – €5,250

• Traditional veneered coffin

• Public or private wake or repose at our funeral home

• Religious ceremony with music

• Grave opening and burial in an adjacent cemetery included

Items Not Included in the Above Costs

The following are not included in the guide prices above:

• Grave plot purchase

• Flowers

• Funeral stationery

• Family cars

• Catering before or after the funeral

• Coffin upgrades

• Newspaper or radio funeral notices
