We assist families with the preparation/drafting of the wording to appear in the death announcement. Having agreed the text, we ensure the placement of the notice in the Newspapers required.
Provincial/Local Newspapers
For most counties in Ireland, there is a local Newspaper, the majority of which are weekly publications. Thus, the death notice would appear for record purposes only. This is important, as many of these Newspapers are posted to relatives in the four corners of the world.
RIP.ie
RIP.ie is Ireland’s largest online search directory for Death Announcements.
Local Radio
Local Radio is fast replacing the National Newspapers as the medium for the announcement of death and the funeral arrangements. It is also considerably less expensive.
These announcements are usually read out twice or three times daily at specific times, e.g. Northern Sound Radio read out these announcements at 8.00am, 9.00am, 1.15pm, and 5.15pm daily.
